Emerging from the shadow of the famous tower in Blackpool, Laura Catlow put the seaside town on the map for other reasons when she turned her back on life working on a ghost train and released her debut single Gorgeous in May.
…imagine the Arctic Monkeys had gender re-assignment surgery and went acoustic’

After spending the summer holed up in a London studio Laura Catlow returns with her second single Skin & Bone.
Carneskys Ghost Train in Blackpool’s loss is the music industries gain. Word spread in the North West and Laura Catlow was soon playing to a sold out venue on every visit. Promoters were quick to spot the burgeoning live talent and gigs soon followed at The Night And Day, The Globe, Zanzibar and Catlow is now a regular on the London venue circuit and the debut single was played on Janice Long’s and Chris Hawkins’ BBC radio shows earlier this year.
‘Alex Turner's little sister.'

Frequent comparisons are made to Catlow’s song writing style with Arctic Monkey’s leader Alex Turner. As Laura explains “That may just be due to the accent I sing in, but I think my writing style is very similar to there’s. I like to write about day to day life and normal situations”
‘The accent might be Coronation Street but the lyrics are intelligent, poignant and ironic’
Laura Catlow is already creating a ‘buzz’ amongst the industry in the North West. Gorgeous introduced an unsuspecting public to one of the brightest new female talents to emerge from the talented North West and the new single should see her profile to new heights.

To promote the single Laura plays the following Love Music Hate Racism Tour -
10th Nov - Night & Day, Manchester
12th Nov - Golden Fleece, Nottingham
14th Nov - Blue Kat Cafe, Stockport
15th Nov - Northern Monkey, Leeds
