As the Phoenix has done done countless times, so did
Vreid, rising from the ashes of the legendary
Windir in 2004. Immediately making an impact on the European metal scene,
Vreid incorporates elements of Norwegian folk music and 70's classic rock, while still keeping their Norwegian metal roots intact. Dubbed “Black & Roll,” it wasn't until 2007 that the band hit its stride garnering rave reviews and massive European tours with
Marduk, Unleashed, Enslaved, and
Pestilence soon followed.
Even with all of the band's success, no one was prepared for
MILORG. Named after a World War II Norwegian resistance group
MILORG ( MILitary ORGanization) and entirely self-produced,
MILORG is a milestone in Norwegian metal and showcases a sound that's more mature and atmospheric, while remaining raw and powerful.
MILORG is already a candidate for a top European metal album of the decade!
