Alex Phountzi formerly of renowned beat-masters Bugz in the Attic (and now in Greenmoney with YOYO’S Leo Greenslade) continues his intrinsic Download This! event at The Westbury on Friday 20th November, by bringing you a DJ appearance from cult electronica producers and Eglo label mates Floating Points and FunkinEven.

Floating Points is hotly tipped this year after his twitchy electro-funk re-edit of Reel to Real’s 1983 hit ‘Love Me Like This’ triggered a vast online reaction. Points has gained large momentum since the release of his few E.P.’s on reputed Planet Mu and Eglo imprints and has been saluted by the likes of BBC Radio One DJs Gilles Peterson and Benji B. His recent spate of UK gigs has aroused growing numbers of national funkster’s.

FunkinEven is the freshest signing to the Eglo label with his debut EP ‘Kleer’ gaining props and presenting a funk fuelled micro-journey of electronic cut-ups with vocalist Fatima. Expect a large slab of chopped funk and cut rhythms from this chunkadelic new-comer.

Download This! is held in high regard for its modernistic presentation of quality music, a cool crowd and a top night of choice acts and specialist DJs.

Floating Points and FunkinEven will be set to bring a funk laden diversity of tracks in the guise of pretty much everything covering house-grooves, broken beats, neck popping electro and soul flexing downbeats at Download This!.
