Off the heels of their long-awaited debut album "Truth Serum" the Icelandic electro-house quartet, know around the world as Steed Lord, are proud to announce "The Truth Serum Remix Project" available exclusively on Beatport on November 3rd. The record will be available on iTunes the following week.
For "The Truth Serum Remix Project," Steed Lord reached for new heights as they commissioned dozens of their favorite artists to create the record. Established artists such as DJ Mehdi, Tommie Sunshine and Crookers who gave Steed Lord their expert remix treatment, sit along side creations by emerging DJs such as Mustard Pimp and Russ Chimes to round out this amazing project. Let it be known that every artist involved with The Project did this for the love of the band and for music and nothing else.
On the 8th day of February in 2006, Steed Lord was born in New Crack City. It was the day that Kali received a house beat from Demo as a birthday present. That beat turned into the first song "You" and a week later "Dirty Mutha" was born at 3am on a dark and sleepless night.
Since then, MEGA, Kali, Demo & AC have been making music together as Steed Lord out of pure passion. Together they manage to create banging club music with boomin beats, killer melodies, heavy vocoding & epic synthesizing. Something that they can only describe as "100% pure homemade electronic music".
In the last two years, Steed Lord has exploded onto the international scene constantly killing it with their amazing live performances and dope swagger. Steed Lord has, without a record deal, performed all over the world from America to Canada to Russia to Mexico and all over Europe headlining over 100 of their own shows as well as supporting bands like Peaches and Chromeo and Does It Offend You, Yeah? and performing alongside artists like Boys Noize, Mehdi, Busy P, The Whip, Shitdisco, Uffie, Klever and others.
Steed Lord have also been widely recognized as designers and visual artists. They have designed all of their own graphics, artwork and visuals to fit with their music. In 2007, Steed Lord were approached by the retail giant H&M to design a clothing line for their Divided label. The Steed Lord/H&M designs were available in over 100 stores and in more than 50 countries, and sold out three times over.
