by jack s [More from this Author] A high profile line-up from some of London’s most implausible DJs surely promises to surprise, entertain and amuse the most dubious of anticipations. Hot Chip (Alexis Taylor) video director Rollo Jackson and Czech honcho DJ Tuco bring a slab of party favorites with a modern slant to The Westbury decks on Friday 27th November. Hot Chip front man Alexis Taylor needs little introduction, his DJ sets have shown an eclectic mix of brand new Hot Chip tracks, house, indie, hip hop and R Kelly! (oh yes). As well as working crowds up at a multitude of national and international parties, and regularly rocking it in his home town of London, Mr Taylor certainly likes to mix up a party! As a prolific London based music video director for the likes of Hot Chip and cult US label DFA records, Rollo Jackson can be sure to hold the crowd with an interesting presence when he is released onto the decks. Expect a twisted menagerie of musical ethos. Having played for Deviate events at East Village, Rollo Jackson has a proven record of rocking the masses. Prague based producer and Czech party ‘Dutty’ host, DJ Tuco is one of the eastern blocs’ best kept secrets. He comes over from the bohemian heartlands to drop rare strains of his own love of house music, hip hop, funk, disco and “pretty much anything that can get a party going”. He is a vastly experienced DJ with an alternative history ready to get down and dirty with any crowd. These three likely lads that are bound to entertain and party in their own style. Expect a surprisingly exciting mash-up from some of London’s most seasoned creative characters - a Hot Chipped flavoured night with a Czech edge that’s gonna leave you bedazzled. 34 Kilburn High Road London NW6 5UA HOT CHIP [Alexis Taylor / Dj Set] 8pm – 3am | free before 10pm, £3 before 11pm, £5 thereafter The Westbury Date: Friday 27th November Event: Hot Chip [Alexis Taylor DJ set] Address: 34 Kilburn High Road, London, NW6 5UA Public transport: next to Kilburn High Road (London Overground) and across the road from Kilburn Park (tube station) Buses: 16, 31, 32, 189, 316 Hours: Friday – 8pm – 3am Entry: free before 10pm, £3 before 11pm, £5 thereafter Information: 020 7625 7500 | |
