The Boxing Lesson Release New Songs Online, Two New Album in 2010

When loud and wild guitar playing is combined with vibrating & swirling synthesized pulses and a pristine falsetto-tinged voice, you get a surface idea of The Boxing Lesson’s epic and transformative sound. After performing some 250+ shows in support of their previous release, The Boxing Lesson hit the studio with fever in 2009. The first results of the recording session have surfaced with the band sharing three new demo tracks with the fans and friends.

Drone to Sleep, Red+River=Blues and Long Time Possibility all show the progress the band has made through constant touring, songwriting maturity, instrument exploration and boundary-pushing experimentation. These three songs capture the band at the height of the their transformation into an intense and epic live duo.

Next year, the still (as of press time) unsigned Austin,TX band will have two releases: an EP tentatively titled RINGS OF SATURN and an LP entitled POSSIBILITIES. Look for national and international touring in support of these recorded efforts as well as the band’s signature of diverse and creative music videos.

With three EPs and a full length under their belt, The Boxing Lesson blast off again to explore uncharted territory as a new indie rock duo. Haunting vocals and moody melodies are punctuated by mesmerizing guitars, droney beats and expressive electronica.
Paul Waclawsky’s guitar dances close to Jaylinn Davidson’s wall of synths, creating something magical and mammoth. The Boxing Lesson plays indie “space” rock that can transport the listener to another dimension. The upcoming Rings of Saturn EP and Possibilities LP are voyages through their analog oscillating nightmares that evolves into something beautiful and refreshing.
