The Duke & The King: New single "The Morning I Get To Hell" out on 14th December 2009 on Loose Music

The Duke & The King are a glam-soul-folk quartet from New York featuring Simone Felice, Bobbie Bird Burke, Simi Stone and Nowell Haskins. Named after the travelling Shakespeare Hustlers in Mark Twain's 'The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn' these curious blood-brothers (and sweet sister) have found a home together, a travelling church of harmony and sin where its OK to French kiss your cousin and all strays are welcome to come out of the cold and sing along to songs of love, loss, pathos and hope. The Duke & The King have been touring all corners of the globe in support of their internationally acclaimed debut album 'Nothing Gold Can Stay'.

PART CHIMP: Confirm December Thrills!

Not only have our favourite noise rockers Part Chimp released their third album, Thriller (Rock Action) – a primordial swamp of pre-grunge British noise - this year, but the band have confirmed more shows for December!
Signed to Mogwai’s Rock Action label, the Camberwell crew now feature the talents of bassist Tracy Bellaries (formerly of Ikara Colt, Mystery Meat & Soulbossa) adding to the band’s Sonic belligerence and unashamed rock ‘n’ roll showmanship.
The band STILL set the standard for uncompromising, unwieldy creativity and we say BRING THE NOISE!

Twin Atlantic meet with Tom DeLonge during US Trip

During an action-packed trip the US, which included a first-ever trip to NYC for CMJ, Scottish rockers Twin Atlantic found time for a visit to the Macbeth offices in Carlsbad, CA. During the visit, the band met up with Tom DeLonge and had the chance to watch a little of Angels & Airwaves in rehearsal. Twin Atlantic then joined Oliver Future, Crash Kings, and more for an electrifying show at LA's Viper Room.

Dead Confederate’s incredible debut album is released on Monday on Kartel, as the band also announce a string of UK dates including J Mascis support slots!
Picked as Uncut’s Debut album of the Month, ‘Wrecking Ball’ has been highly acclaimed on both sides of the pond. Kerrang pretty much summed it up last week when they said it’s “dark hearted but intelligent, violent without being aggressive and epic without losing its core of songwriting depth. 4Ks”

The Status to Release EP

After a critically-acclaimed debut full-length, So This Is Progress, The Status are set to announce their follow up EP release, Let's Be Honest... The 4-track digital-only recording will be available December 15 on Doghouse Records. The band will be debuting songs from the EP live via a FearlessRadio.com performance on Monday, November 9 @ 4pm CST.
The Status have been touring relentlessly since issuing last year's full-length and are currently on the road with The Fold and The Right Coast.

A SUNNY DAY IN GLASGOW confirm DIGITAL SINGLE for Dec 7th

The all new line-up of A Sunny Day in Glasgow - Ben Daniels, Josh Meakim, Annie Fredrickson, Jen Goma, Ryan Newmyer and Adam Herndon - are set to release ‘Shy’ via all major download platforms on December 7th.
Lead track, ‘Shy’ is one of the stand out tracks on the band’s sophamore album, ‘Ashes Grammar’(Mis Ojos Discos), released earlier this year, also available will be the Kompakt influenced minimal techno of "Walking Pneumonia" – a track whose looping vocals give way to a wall of washed out noise; as well as a brand new mix of "Curse Words".

Following their ‘sharp and clever’ (Loud and Quiet) debut album, Shop, London based sextet led by Karl Bielik, Lark will release Can I Colour In Your Hair? – an acerbic megaphone vocal over incessant casiotone keys and a drum machine disco loop - on 7th December via Itunes.
Backed with an inspired dub remix by long time supporter Andrew Weatherall (his first mix after producing Fuck Buttons), the tracks – which are exclusive to this release and NOT featured on the band’s debut - will also appear on ltd ed heavyweight vinyl at a later.
MONOTONIX: TOUR UK IN NOVEMBER

Tel Aviv’s Monotonix are The People’s band. Touring for the majority of the 365 days in a year, they have found their way into some of the most musically undernourished communities the world over, satisfying their eyes and ears (and hunger for sweaty hairy bodies). They return to the UK this November to further the cause, and with a reputation for insane live performances that promise to leave you bruised, yet smiling from ear to ear, they will surely amplify whispers that they may well be the best live band in rock music today!
