After the successful release of their second album "The House That Dirt Built" in September on Counter Records, which saw them complete their 3rd North American tour, invited to a Jonathan Ross + Mark Lamarr session and heard sound-tracking this seasons Champions League and FA Cup football television coverage, The Heavy are to embark on a European Tour in support of their new single "No Time", which is to be released on the 23rd November.
For those not in the know, Noid based The Heavy lay down music that constantly lives on the edge of hair-on-fire, arms flailing madness, anchored by beats steady as a 10-ton anvil. It's so dirty, it has so much weight and energy whilst laced with a soul that you just don't hear anymore. Like Little Richard possessed by the devil and turned up to 11 whilst channeling the ghost of Screamin' Jay Hawkins with the gritty bottom-end of Wu Tang alongside a wall-of-sound guitar wailing and raw blues-soul. Its utterly addictive and they are clearly one of the most exciting bands to see live right now.
