WAYNE COYNE :: About Mr. Flaming Lips On The Cover
"The reason we chose the title 'Wayne Coyne' for our debut album, is that he embodies so much of that positive but potent energy that we are tapping into with this music. I always get a little awestruck when this giant in my musical pantheon does his own soundchecks immediately before the concerts, with absolutely no bravado or drama, only to absolutely blow everything up as soon as he and the band rip into 'Race for the Prize' or whatever. I first met Mr. Coyne at Roskilde, having my picture taken with him, and his totally down to earth openness and respect for me - a fan - was extremely inspiring. I thought, 'I want to be like that' and that's something we've taken to heart with this band. Our music is serious business with grand aspirations and ambitions, but that doesn't mean that we're any kind of grand special characters. So we have more fun and put all the energy into the art. And in that regard, Mr. Coyne is a major guru, so the featuring of him on the cover is an exclamation of love and respect." - Kristian Leth

SECRETS OF THE STATE :: The Video

"The video cost less than 300 dollars to make and was initially meant as an injoke directed at the Danish music business. 'Secrets of the State' was our very first single and we wanted to do something different than the old 'anonymous band in animated video' kind of thing. So we drew on our contacts from years of playing with different bands and musicians and tried to do it backwards. We also challenged the Danish audience to spot the real William Blakes in there somewhere.
The bands and artists featured are a mix of indie and major names in Danish music, popular artists who are normally not connected with low budget anything. For example you can find Danish indie exports Oh No Ono, Figurines and Choir of Young Believers in there, but also Remee; the producer behind the world hit 'Superstar' by Jamelia, Søren Rasted of Danish 90s pop sensation Aqua, and Thomas Troelsen; the producer behind the major hit by Junior Senior "Move Your Feet".
To have them all sing along to our song was really, really cool and very surreal. For a first single it was extremely satisfying to do a kind of "tribute" video spoof. Problem was, of course, to top it."
