‘Buy A Life’ out 7th December
An Experiment On A Bird In The Air Pump have announced an EP launch on the 10th December.The band will be headlining at The Victoria, London with support from up and coming indie upstarts Veronica Falls and No Pain In Pop djs. ‘Buy A Life’ EP will be released on their own fledgling Buy A Life Records label on the 7th December and available on limited 7” and download.
The ‘Buy A Life’ EP was recorded during the summer and produced by Tim Burgess of The Charlatans. The new EP is the follow up to their debut single ‘These Sins’ on Trouble Records and features three tracks ‘Silent Hour’,‘Smear’ and ‘Only In Death.
Formed in London last year, C-Bird, D-Bird and X-Bird are three women creating music in their own unique way. With a line up that features two bass guitars and minimal drums played standing up, they constantly swap instruments to create a sound that’s influenced by everything from Soul music to Grunge.
The Birds have recently returned from Chicago after recording new tracks with Steve Albini (Nirvana, The Stooges, The Pixies, The Manics) and haring a penchant for the subversive, are intent at making the underground consumable to the masses.
An Experiment On A Bird In The Air Pump will play a handful of live shows to coincide with the single release in November and December. The dates include a spot at the Trans Musicale Festival in France and a single launch in East London on the 10th Dec.
