In the truest sense of holiday spirit, indie rocker Jason Ward has decided to post the critically acclaimed, full-length "Almighty Row" for free download via his own website, along with the cover art and track listing as well.

"Almighty Row" was recorded during March of 2009, and has been physically self-released in limited quantities in the United States since August. Ward has garnered praise from the blogosphere for his intimate lyrics and atmospheric melodies, both brought to the forefront on "Almighty Row".

As for the price of the album, Ward says, "It seems like the current system of digital distribution still has a lot of ties to major labels, and even the big indies, which I'd rather not be associated with. So what better way to express a camaraderie with fans and bloggers, by offering a quality product for free. I've always enjoyed the physical release of albums, but downloading a free digital release certainly outdoes a physical release that costs over five bucks and gets barely anything back to the artist."
