As critics begin to compile their annual Top 10 year-end round-ups, The List — the stunning covers collection from acclaimed singer-songwriter Rosanne Cash — is emerging as one of the best reviewed albums of 2009. Called everything from “superb” and “exquisite” to “an object lesson in inheritance,” The List has earned widespread praise from media outlets across the country, including NPR Music, Vanity Fair, The New York Times, the Associated Press, USA Today, Time, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, People, the Los Angeles Times, Billboard, Elle, Paste, Relix, American Songwriter, and the San Francisco Chronicle. The album, which debuted Top 5 on the Country chart, has also hit No. 1 on the Americana Airplay Top 10 chart.
Having already performed on NBC’s The Today Show and CBS’s The Late Show With David Letterman, and been featured on ABC’s highly rated prime-time TV special “In The Spotlight With Robin Roberts: Bright Lights. Big Stars. All Access Nashville,” Cash will perform on CBS’s The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on December 8th.
She will also follow up previous radio appearances on NPR’s “Fresh Air” and “Morning Edition,” American Public Media’s “A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor,” and KCRW’s signature daily music program “Morning Becomes Eclectic” by appearing on Don Imus’ syndicated radio and television program “Imus In The Morning” on December 1st. In addition, New York’s WFUV, Fordham University’s public radio station, has declared December 1st “Rosanne Cash Day,” and will devote their programming exclusively to her music.
