Discotheque Wreck were formed in 2008 after a chance discussion between Matt Skeldon (Guitar) and Rich (Drums) – who set about writing some material from Matt’s Metallica and Wildheart’s background and Rich’s love of music more urban.
After recruiting Josie (keys) and Izzy (originally bass, now on keys) the band practiced until recruiting Kimberley a few months later.
Next – to the studio – Framework Studio to be precise, more widely known for their work on ear-shattering grindcore and punk (Napalm Death, Police Bastard, IOD, Carcass etc) – with Producer Si Reeves they put together their first recording in just 2 days – and have been back regularly, recording 5 songs and getting some immense remixes.
March 1st sees the release of their first single (Your Silence) with 2 extra versions on the Birmingham based Raven: label, which coincides with their tour: -
