LINFINITY ANNOUNCE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR WITH MURDER BY DEATH

DEBUT FULL-LENGTH ALBUM Martian's Bloom OUT APRIL 27TH NEW SONG, "MSG," AVAILABLE FOR FREE DOWNLOAD NOW!

American Myth Recordings is excited to announce that Linfinity have confirmed their first-ever tour of North America, a 37-date run with Murder By Death that kicks off in St. Louis on the 31st of March, and winds its way from coast to coast before finishing up in Chicago in mid May. On April 27th Linfinity will release their debut full-length, Martian's Bloom. To give fans a preview, they have made their song "MSG" available for free download.

In late 2008, Linfinity gained recognition for their Songs of The Weeping Willow EP, produced by Kevin McMahon (Titus Andronicus, The Felice Brothers). At the time, Pitchfork took note of lead singer Dylan Von Wagner's voice in a track review of the song "Seesaw Love," which appears on the forthcoming full-length, saying, "subsequent listens highlight the complex interplay between voice and old-timey strummin' and fiddlin'. It's not that von Wagner sings like an accordion, but at times, his voice mimics the instrument's aspirating rhythm -- a quality which perfectly echoes "Seesaw Love''s ambling structure. He doesn't sing so much as he intones, and in his simultaneously tuneful/tuneless style, he seamlessly blends with the backing band as if he were another part of the instrument mix."

With a full-length album in mind, Linfinity spent the next year scrapping together resources to realize their vision to its fullest. They hustled their way in and out of the studio, finishing bits and pieces at a time; re-tracking a few songs one month, then heading back the next month to record new material when they'd saved enough to return to the studio. In late 2009, upstart Brooklyn indie label American Myth Recordings took notice and stepped in to help Linfinity finish the job. Linfinity's Martian's Bloom covers an impressive sonic landscape. The album tackles "everything from Southern Gothic tropes and rockabilly to beautiful, string-laden Moorish stomps and bombastic chamber Pop," wrote the New York Press in a preview for a recent show, going on to say that Linfinity displays "some of the more assured indie musicianship and writing to come out of Brooklyn recently."
