Kitsuné Maison Announce Live Date At Heaven, April 4th with Friendly Fires

Kitsuné Maison Announce Live Date At Heaven, April 4th with Friendly Fires

with Yusek, Crystal Fighters, Fenech Soler, Friendly Fires and more..

France’s leading imprint Kitsuné is back in London to hold Easter extravaganza at the legendary Heaven.

After a memorable packed event on Halloween, London’s Neon Noise Project and Paris label Kitsuné will again hold another night of mayhem at Heaven the clubbing institution situated under the arches of Charing Cross. The famed Parisian label once again takes control of the multi-rooms discotheque to celebrate the release of its new compilation Kitsuné Maison 9 (The Petit Bateau edition or The Cotton Issue).

As ever with Kitsuné,
one of the most acclaimed record labels in the world today (need we remind?), you’re guaranteed an exciting line-up of hot newcomers and established artists in electro, pop and indie. Yuksek Live, Crystal Fighters, Fenech Soler and Jamaica will take the main stage for electrifying live performances, whilst Two Door Cinema Club, Friendly Fires, DJ Falcon, Gildas, Tronik Youth, Luca C will rock the dancefloor with exclusive dj sets over two rooms.

The Franco-Japanese company that’s cleverly bridging fashion, design and music, is constantly expanding. Its plush clothing range is now sold in 60 hand-picked shops the world over, the label - with its unrivalled instinct for l’air du temps - helped break La Roux last year and will soon celebrate its 10th Kitsuné Maison compilation; and the parties, as with all things Kitsuné they’re lovingly thought out and crafted, and always a blast.

This young and unique brand might be based in Paris, guest-deejaying everywhere from Tokyo to New York, however its heart definitely beats for London. The music of course… and the fact that UK crowds always offer the label an amazing reception.

Moreover Kitsuné has invited once again with Ponystep, the east London online fashion/style magazine infamous for its much hyped parties (BoomBox…). At the crossroad of electro and fashion, Kitsuné and Ponystep share a rare understanding of all things modern, stylish and hip, which eventually led the two entities to collaborate on the Kitsuné-BoomBox mix cd.
Resident djs: JBAG (Jerry Bouthier & Andrea Gorgerino), Matthew Stone, Nathan Gregory Wilkins, Hanna Hanra, Pippa Brooks and Richard Mortimer will spin their eclectic party tunes. A surprise is expected too…

Live:
Yuksek LIve
, the hardest working man in electro who first shot to fame via a tsunami of remixes (Gossip, Lady Gaga, The Prodigy, Madonna, Phoenix, Moby, Klaxons, Mika, Kaiser Chiefs…) has successfully established himself as an artist in its own right. His 2009 debut album ‘Across The Sea’ came out to critical acclaim and he’s now touring the world with a live one-man show that blends effortlessly rock punch and techno melodies with a twist of pop. The Reims-based producer is unstoppable.

Crystal Fighters
make (in their own words) fast dance music with Basque instruments, synthesizers and their voices. As unlikely as it may seem this London band’s personal brew of beats, noises and eerie chants has conquered the capital and well beyond with its energy-packed live performances - think rave folk. The buzz keeps on building after ‘I Love London’ their second single for Kitsuné.

Fenech Soler was first spotted by French producer Alan Braxe who released debut single ‘The Cult of Romance’ on his own imprint Vulture. The British band comprising of brothers Ben and Ross Duffy originally started as an indie outfit but soon caught the electronic bug from listening to too much Daft Punk and Chemical Bros. Now signed to Radio 1 djs Jaymo and Andy George’s label Moda , the four-piece is entering the arena of pop with its infectious ‘Lies’ single.

Jamaica is the rock’n’roll brainchild of
Antoine Hilaire and Flo Lyonnet who are rather well connected in the Paris scene. For proof, their forthcoming debut album was produced by Xavier of Justice in Motorbass’ studio and the duo has one track on Kitsuné Maison 9. Remember where you heard it first.

DJs:
Two Door Cinema Club is the gifted Northern Irish trio that’s getting bigger and bigger by the minute. Sure they’re a youthful handsome bunch dressed head-to-toe in Kitsuné classic designs, but it’s their perfectly-crafted pop songs that truly convince. Their talent for melody is of a rare breed as proved on debut album ‘Tourist History’. It’s early days, yet as NME, Xfm and Radio 1 all boast, it looks certain these guys will go a long way. For the occasion Alex Trimble, Kevin Baird and Sam Halliday will put the guitars down and spin some of their fave records.

Friendly Fires aren’t exactly djs either. After releases on People In The Sky, Kitsuné and Moshi Moshi, their eponymous debut album set a benchmark in electronic pop. That’s right, the indie-dance trio writes furiously funky songs of highly addictive nature. On the night however, they’ll show all that they’re taking deejaying seriously and know their 4/4 stuff.

DJ Falcon, the man behind the dance hits ‘So Much Love To Give’ and ‘Together’ (co-produced with Thomas Bangalter on the later’s label Roulé), has been touring around the world playing alongside Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk (Alive tour) and the cream of the Paris scene. Always on the move with a camera, surfboard and records in his case there aren't many places he hasn't visited already. This is Falcon’s first date in London for three years.

Gildas, Kitsuné’s main man, will mix his latest discoveries as well as current biggies. Discreet and focused, the multi-tasking boss with golden ears notoriously shies away from too much exposure, however he never misses an occasion to wow audiences with his slamming sets during his globe-trotting journeys.

Tronik Youth are London-based Neil Parnell and Sam Onervas whose profile keeps on expanding thanks to a string of remixes (Gossip, Late Of The Pier, Headman…), quirky singles (We Are…’, ‘Laugh, Cry, Live, Die’) and much love from the blogs.

Luca C, guitar player in Cazals, is of course Italian and who better to spin the best of italo-disco? Le ‘beau gosse’ is currently doing a killing in the capital and justly so.
