One of Australia's Premiere Live Music Acts Set To 'Rock' The UK
Australian rockers, Grinspoon, have announced three UK dates this spring in support of their sixth studio album 'Six To Midnight'. They'll play Edinburgh's HMV Picture House on 21st May, Academy 2, Manchester, on 22nd May and London's HMV Forum on 23rd May. 'Six To Midnight' has received a tremendous response so far, debuting at number 4 in the ARIA charts and winning praise from fans and reviewers alike. The first single 'Comeback' and the latest single 'Summer', have both received huge reactions, gaining high rotation on most major TV & radio stations, in Australia, with the latter destined to be one of this summer's biggest hits.
Legendary US producer Rick Will (Johnny Cash, No Doubt, Nine In Nails) was behind the albums' production & mixing duties, and has delivered one of Grinspoon's finest records to date. The band returned to their spiritual home town of Byron Bay to record the album, which helped them capture their affinity for a good live hard rock record, something the band were determined to achieve. Grinspoon's return to the live scene in 2009 saw them play to a wild and overflowing main stage at the Splendour In The Grass festival, which went down as one of the band's most memorable gigs to date!
Already this year, Grinspoon have played the national Big Day Out festival alongside Muse, Kasabian & The Mars Volta and their national headlining tour of Australia, in March will be their first major national tour since 2008! In May 2010 the band will then bring their new live show to their loyal army of fans in the UK so come and see why Grinspoon have been proclaimed one of Australia's premier live acts, time and time again.
