METROPOLIS STUDIOS ANNOUNCE THE FIRST LONDON LEGENDS ROCK MASTERCLASS 27th April -- 2nd May 2010
West London’s legendary Metropolis Studios have been used for classic recordings by acts as diverse as Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson, The Clash, Beyonce, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Lily Allen, Iron Maiden, the Rolling Stones and many, many more. This enigmatic building and studios, named after Fritz Lang’s evocative and futuristic film of the same name, will host the first LONDON LEGENDS ROCK MASTERCLASS event.
Beginning on Tuesday 27th April and finishing on Sunday 2nd May 2010, only 30 lucky wannabe rockers will receive the experience of a lifetime at the 5 day Masterclass event. Not only will they benefit from music teachers, but also get 3 days of jamming and mentoring with at least 4 stars and a world class producer in a world class studio. The London Legends already on board include:
Five days of music begin when Masterclass teachers and Metropolis minders introduce you to the Legends, who will mentor, coach, encourage and hang out with you for your stay with us. We begin by splitting the group into 6 bands who will rehearse, practice, record and be filmed for video diaries over the first 3 days learning how Rock bands put their tours and recordings together – including 2 sessions with one of the UK’s finest producers Steve Levine on How To Record. By Friday after 3 full days of teaching and mentoring with Teachers and Legends you will be in shape for lunch at Bill Wyman’s Sticky Fingers restaurant, and Dinner with Mick, Chris, Mac and Glen. Sunday is a Day Of Recording, followed by The Sunday Blast, a full live gig filmed and recorded.
As a corporate week away, the ultimate birthday treat or just a well-deserved pat on the back, The London Legends Rock Masterclass is a once-in-a-lifetime treat, which includes:

The 30 rock protégé’s will stay at THE rock ‘n’ roll hotel - KWest located in London’s Kensington, where they’ll be greeted by Metropolis Minders and the LLRM host Gary Crowley. Gary’s experience as a leading figure of the London rock scene has resulted in many personal friendships with some of the greatest names in music.
