Beans on Toast at 2000Trees

Beans on Toast at 2000Trees
Popular political folkster Beans on Toast is back by popular demand to perform at this summer’s 2000trees Festival – with a new band to boot.

Beans, who supported festival headliner Frank Turner on a recent UK tour, will return to the Leaf Lounge stage where he has built up a loyal following from previous appearances.

Also confirmed is breakbeat, big beat and hip hop rising star DJ EsseB, who will perform at the Green House stage.

The 2000trees line-up of almost 70 acts on three stages is almost complete for this summer’s event, which takes place at Upcote Farm, near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, on July 16-17.

It includes headliners The Subways and Frank Turner, Bombay Bicycle Club, Metronomy, 65DaysOfStatic and Johnny Flynn.

Organisers say record ticket sales mean that weekend camping passes are expected to sell out in the next few weeks. All Early Entry, Child, Campervan and Joint tickets with sister festival Y-Not have now SOLD OUT in record time.

Festival fans can also pick up a free 2000trees Festival mixtape created by the good people at the Headphone Disco, which is available at www.headphonedisco.com. The Headphone Disco has become a firm favourite and takes place at the main stage after the headline act on Saturday, July 17.

Organiser James Scarlett said: “We are delighted to welcome back Beans on Toast, an ever-popular star of 2000trees. And in EsseB we’ve discovered a really exciting artist that we’re sure our festival fans will love.”

He added: “We are really pleased with our line-up this year and the fact that ticket sales are breaking all records means a lot to us, because we’re committed to bringing together the best new British bands in a fun, friendly and most of all affordable setting.”

2000trees Festival is an award-winning weekend of live music and camping in the picturesque Cotswolds, with almost 70 acts on three stages, plus comedy, DJs, headphone disco, trader village, great food and drink, and campfire sing-a-longs to keep the party spirit going till dawn.

In its short history 2000trees has established itself as one of the leading small festivals in the British summer calendar. Created by a group of friends in 2007, the festival was born out of frustration with the ever increasing corporate sponsorship and mass advertising nature of the larger traditional British festivals.

2000trees is promoting the finest homegrown talent emerging from the vibrant British music scene. It’s the perfect place to unearth tomorrow’s stars today. With an eclectic line-up spanning many musical genres, this intimate and friendly festival has become a haven for music fans - many of whom discover their new favourite bands at the event.

2000trees is also ‘A Greener Festival Award’ winner for it dedication to being one of the UK’s greenest festivals. And it offers great value for money, with tickets just £50 for a full weekend camping pass. Children under 10 go free but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
