The hotly anticipated national tour headlined by Richard Ashcroft, voice of famed British rock band The Verve, is due to commence at the end of this month and with no further adieu, The Frontier Touring Company is pleased to confirm the talented Katy Steele will be supporting all shows.
Katy Steele is a multitalented singer, songwriter and guitarist and has attracted remarkable attention through her solo efforts as well as from fronting popular indie act Little Birdy.
Little Birdy’s most recent album, Confetti, was the #1 highest selling Australian album on release last year and, following the trend of Little Birdy’s previous two releases, has been certified Gold.
The twenty-six year old performer has previously been nominated for an ARIA award and has extensive live experience having toured in both solo and band capacities at intimate venues like Adelaide’s Spiegeltent and festivals such as Big Day Out and Homebake.
At all shows on the Richard Ashcroft & The United Nations of Sound tour, Katy will serenade the crowd with her guitar, keys and unmistakable vocals.
Her solo live performances are an outlet for her to truly connect with the audience and she has previously described the experience as “very liberating and very, very different.
