Album: “Dirty Little Rabbits” Released 20th September 2010 Single: “Professional Hit” Released 6th September 2010
Dirty Little Rabbits is the brainchild of Shawn (Clown) Crahan, one of the founding members of alt/metal meisters Slipknot, also featuring Stella K (vocals) the mid-90’s starlet from Stella Soleil. Together with Michael Pfaff, Ryan Martin and Jeff Karnowski they are Dirty Little Rabbits.
It usually takes artists a lifetime to find all the pieces to their artistic puzzle but not DLR. Following on from the release of Simon EP in 2008, the group’s self-titled full-length debut is now upon us. Written by Shawn and Stella and produced by Shawn, their debut full-length is truly a masterpiece that is near and dear to the band’s heart. Seven years in the making, the group has finally put aside all their other projects to focus on DLR and the initial steps have been tremendous.
With a ton of touring already under their belts (including 14 dates on the 2010 Warped tour), the band is a tight knit collective just waiting to explode out during performances. Consummate live performers the band have already supported the likes of Lacuna Coil, Stone Sour and MSI.
It often takes a good portion of a band’s career to learn to trust themselves and make the music they want, but this collection of talent known as Dirty Little Rabbits seem to have done it in a faction of the time. From the epic and uplifting “Hello” to the intense and driving signature tune “Dirty Little Rabbits”, from the infectious melody of “Happy” and the nightmarish intensity of “Professional Hit”, this is a band at the height of their powers. Driving music overliad with the unique vocals and melodies of Stella K.
