This release will be followed by a much anticipated debut album, expected this summer.

Now signed to Circular Records, 2011 promises to be an exciting year for the band. After spending most of last year recording their album in none other than Kasabian’s studio complex the band are ready to bring their blend of Indie Rock to the UK music scene. Working with established industry professionals on their forthcoming album has enabled The Procession to step up to the next level.

Previews of the debut album have been well received already winning the acclaim of MTV’s Phil Clifton and XFM’s and 4 Music’s Pete Donaldson: “The combination of tunes really entices the listener into wanting more. We ride through soaring choruses, meaty guitar riffs, via bare soul intimacy all packed with more hooks than you’ll find in Mariah Carey’s wardrobe!!”

The Procession prides themselves on their unique sound that stems from a no boundaries approach to writing. With all 4 members coming from different backgrounds, and with all of them contributing equally to the creative process, their songs tackle varied subjects from all corners of the emotional spectrum. Their music has been described as “mixing experiences, attitude, feelings, and pain, and applying it with wit, charisma and fun”, as well as, “delivered with a passion and geniality that really takes the listener on a journey with them”.

The Procession formed whilst at University and since then has built up a following on the Midland’s music scene with their distinctive sound and a vibrant live performance. A full UK tour is planned for 2011, as well as numerous support and festival slots. Never shy of experimenting with new and unusual concepts for live shows, the band is sure to spread their unique energy in as many new places as possible over the next 12 months.
