FEATURED PERFORMERS INCLUDE ANNA ROSE, THE TRACHTENBERG FAMILY SLIDESHOW PLAYERS, AND KIM BOEKBINDER
Morgans Hotel Group, The MuseBox and The Weekly Dig have partnered together to produce “The Ames Sessions”, three consecutive Tuesdays of unique, inspiring music from up-and-coming performers. The free series will take place beginning at 6 pm in Woodward Park at Boston’s Ames hotel starting September 20th, with specials and prizes to coincide with each event.
The Ames Sessions have been carefully curated by the dedicated MuseBox staff who have thoughtfully selected artists known for their audience engagement and fresh take on live performance. ANNA ROSE, the daughter of composer Alan Menken, is a sultry, soulful singer-songwriter who recently attracted national and international attention with her stripped-down, impassioned cover of THE ARCADE FIRE’s “My Body Is A Cage”. THE TRACHTENBERG FAMILY SLIDESHOW PLAYERS are indeed a family affair, but with an indie-vaudeville conceptual art-rock pop twist. Their trademark is the slideshow itself that is projected while the band plays and sings about things that occurred in the places shown in the slides. KIM BOEKBINDER is The Impossible Girl, a performer, composer, musician and visual artist who defies genre. Most recently she has garnered national attention for her upcoming split with AMANDA PALMER of the DRESDEN DOLLS, as well as her concept of pre-selling her shows to fans, and has been featured on Boing Boing and BBC Radio 1 among other places.
September 20th – ANNA ROSE
September 27th – THE TRACHTENBERG FAMILY SLIDESHOW PLAYERS
October 4th – KIM BOEKBINDER

Founded in 1999, the Weekly Dig is Boston’s best and only weekly entertainment magazine. Always witty, never dull, the Dig, as it’s affectionately known, is truly the cure for what’s ailing the curious mind. Its coverage includes local news, arts, music, sex, food, movies and shopping in a lively, funny, incisive and, most importantly, dead honest way. At a time when both marketers and other publications are struggling to figure out how to attract young people, the Dig does it week in and week out. Dig is the only publication in Boston that has an absolute lock on the 21-34 year-old demographic everyone’s after. For more information please visit Boston Events, Humor and Nightlife
