About The Collectives:

LEXINGTON RECORD FAIR
VINYL FRENZY! The Lexington Record fair holds record collecting events every few months of a mainly VINYL persuasion with the occasional t-shirt, CD, DVD, book or poster (as long as its music related) poking its nose in. They mainly love records and find downloads sad and ghostly things. At CAME, expect a mix of punk, power pop, new wave, retro, indie, metal, reggae, 60s, 70s, 80s, rock , grunge, beat, glam rock, ska, singer-songwriter, folk, soundtrack, psych, garage, northern soul, dance, freak-beat, oi!, no-wave, prog, avant-garde, kraut-rock, experimental, easy listening, country, blues and whatever else people want to sell and buy!

On Record Collecting:
"In a house fire, the first thing I'd save would be my 7-inch singles collection. The second would be my cat, and thirdly any stray humans. Vinyl records have the same symbolism, to me, as the coral paperweight in Orwell's Nineteen Eighty Four: precious physical evidence of a more civilised era." - Simon Price

"A bunch of records that you like gathers meaning and history in a way that a bunch of MP3s simply won't. I can tell you the album I bought on my first holiday with my girlfriend (Motown Chartbusters Vol. 3) and when I see its mirrorball sleeve I immediately undergo a warm rush of Proustian recall. My 7" copy of 'Ace Of Spades' by Motorhead is battered and torn and is a bit scratched but there again my MP3 of the same song doesn't say: "To John, stay lucky, from Lemmy" on the front." John Doran

POSTER ROAST
Poster Roast was set up as an event and collective in 2007 to help promote poster artists in the UK. Each Poster Roast to date has not only showcased some of the most influential UK artists, but integrated live screen printing throughout the exhibitions to engage interest from newcomers to the art form.
Creating affordable original art is a principle advocated by its collective membership. By creating prints live at each event, Poster Roast hopes that members of the public will not only enjoy watching the process, but be able to leave with something precious and unique. Posters are on sale at each event and throughout this weekend with the majority of the artists present to chat to interested parties about their work.

ARTISTS EXHIBITING AT C.A.M.E
. include WeThreeClub, Luke Drozd, Telegramme Studio, Army Of Cats, Horse, Diego Mena, Adam Pobiak, Tom Lacey, Drew Millward, TwoDucksDisco and Kate Prior.

ALTERNATIVE PRESS FESTIVAL

Alternative Press is a London-based, independent group of artists dedicated to encouraging people to create their own art and to freely express themselves via self-publishing. Since forming in 2008 they have organised self-publishing fairs, open mic evenings and poetry nights as well as organising their very own 'International Alternative Press Festival' which brought artists to the UK from across the globe. The collective has once again produced their slice of alternative magic at the Expo this weekend in the shape of comics, zine-making, self-published books and print-making with the following exhibitors:

- COMIX READER
- FOOTPRINTERS
- MONSTER EMPORIUM
- PRINCESSA PIRATA DISTRO
- ZINESWAP
- JERSEYS PARA LOS MONOS
- VICKY XEROGRAFIK
- SELONDON ZINE FEST
- READ HORSE ZINE COLLECTIVE
- WALRUS ZINE COLLECTIVE
