Last month Karin Park unleashed the Ladytron remix of Restless, now Genetix have put their DnB/Dubstep twist on Karin’s stunning new single and re-worked it into an even darker place.
Karin’s signature moody electronica sound is prominent throughout, but with a modern experimental 80’s pop feel and Karin’s unique spell-binding vocal, “Restless” is a massive driving electro-pop track, industrial yet with a commercial edge it crosses the brooding electronic landscape into the mainstream arena. Karin has supported the likes of Azari & III and SBTRKT on their recent European tours whilst gaining support from renowned DJs Giles Peterson, Pete Tong and Zane Lowe. With momentum picking up around this striking electro-pop artist, Karin is ready to take the internet by storm.
Genetix are composed of two well established DnB/Dubstep producers, Hoax and DJ Tron. After forming 3 years ago the pair have conjured up the perfect formula, remixing and producing for themselves and various other artists. They attacked “Restless” with the gusto they always approach tracks with and have reworked it into a dark, brooding, electronic storm.
“Restless” is released through State Of The Eye Recordings on 28th May, with her debut album “Highwire Poetry” out the same day on iTunes.
Karin will also be playing in Berlin on 27th May supporting The Ting Tings.
