This year’s installment of Summer Series at Somerset House already boasts an impressive roll-call of musical talent from across the spectrum – ranging from the smooth soul of Jill Scott to the exquisite melancholia of Tindersticks, the floor rattling dubstep of breakthrough superstar Katy B and even Charlotte Gainsbourg’s only UK show this year.
Now comes another dazzling level of talent, with the announcement of the support acts this year. On July 8, Katy B hits the stage with the white-hot rapper Devlin, who broke through from the grime underground and into the charts.
Meanwhile, July 11 will see Temper Trap supported by a host of the hottest emergent talent with rapidly ascendant art rockers Alt-J and Chet Faker. On July 12 Canadian chanteuse Cold Specks, whose debut LP I Predict a Graceful Expulsion won her critical plaudits upon its release this month, will support Anna Calvi and July 13 The Enemy (who just recently entered the top 5 with their new LP) will see anthemic Stoke newcomers All The Young playing as well. Acclaimed folk pop singer Emmy The Great will support Tindersticks on July 15, Norwegian superstar Susanne Sundford will appear before M83 take to the stage on July 16, and Afrotronic pop star in waiting Seye will support Paloma Faith’s first date on July 17.
