Combining the complex atypical rhythms and technical precision of math rock with the sensational brutality of progressive metal, Periphery have redefined the boundaries of progressive music. July 2nd will see the European digital release of Periphery’s highly anticipated new album Periphery II, whereas the physical release of the album will follow July 16th including bonus material. Check out a trailer here:

The Heretic Anthem

With their signature blend of polymeric grooves and soaring melodies, the band continues to push the envelope of modern metal music. Periphery formed in 2005 and currently consists of Misha 'Bulb' Mansoor, Jake Bowen and Mark Holcomb on guitars, Matt Halpern on drums, and Spencer Sotelo on vocals.

Periphery has toured extensively since 2008, supporting artists including DevilDriver, Emmure, Animals as Leaders, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Fear Factory, Fair To Midland, or Textures, just to mention a few. The band’s first European headline tour in early 2011 titled 'The League of Extraordinary Djentlemen' with TESSERACT, MONUMENTS and THE SAFETY FIRE was a huge success that was followed by the release of their Icarus - EP in April 2011. hn Petrucci laid down a guest solo for Periphery II. Additionally Wes Hauch (The Faceless) and Guthrie Govan (The Aristocrats) did some shredding for the new masterpiece.

Before embarking on the North American Summer Slaughter tour (along with Cannibal Corpse, Between The Buried And Me, The Faceless, Job for a Cowboy…) Periphery will play the renowned Rock am Ring/Rock im Park in Germany as well as Download Festival in the UK. October will see them playing an extensive European tour with Between The Buried And Me and The Safety Fire.
