Following his sold out debut UK tour earlier this year Labrinth announced his biggest tour to date for October 2012.
The UK’s most exciting artist; singing, song-writing and producing phenomenon, Labrinth also continues to dominate the charts with the release of his new single Express Yourself, on 4th June through Syco Music.
The new single is the singer/performer/producer’s unique interpretation of Charles Wright & the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band’s song of the same name. Smoothly running his own original verses about individuality and creativity into a harder, beat-heavy chorus punctuated by clicking fingers and hand claps, Labrinth takes the soul classic and stamps it with his own distinctive identity.
Express Yourself is taken from Labrinth’s debut album, Electronic Earth which rocketed to #2 when it was released in April. The album includes the recent top five single 'Last Time' and previous hits 'Let The Sunshine' and 'Earthquake'. He has now sold over 1 million singles in the UK and is now starting to make inroads around the world. 'Earthquake' hit #2 in Australia and a remix featuring Busta Rhymes is now being played by radio stations in America.
There will be more opportunities to see Labrinth over the summer with a string of shows. He will be hitting the festival circuit for the likes of V and Global Gathering to Ibiza Rocks and Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend. Labrinth, will also be performing shows along the Olympic Torch Relay as part of Coca Cola’s Future Flames. As a Hackney-born musician, London 2012 has even more significance for Labrinth.
Labrinth will head out on another headline tour later this year:
