With a solid background in left field hip-hop production, Michael Campitelli navigates numerous modes of funk – hypnotic and cavernous one minute, then rhythmically venomous the next, the neck-snap quotient with Calamalka’s beats is always verging on overload. A lynch-pin in the Canadian West Coast bass scene, All the Way Up reveals the splendor of his acclaimed live set. With immaculate sound design, pinpoint engineering & a keen sense of distorted rhythm, Calamalka’s sound is impossible to sleep on.



In preparation for the July 24th release of Calamalka’s new album, the Vancouver producer’s first album since his critically lauded 2004 debut Shredders Dub.
