Gobby is making some of the wildest music in New York. He puts together frightening beats from juke'd pop hits - then turns around and produces some of the heaviest techno journeys you'll hear this year. All interspersed with audio-bits from the field, washed in a healthy dose of cartoon.

The tracks lead to videos, often featuring Gobby in his character blue mask. When not producing such for himself in Harlem, he's producing for Mykki Blanco's mixtape and the underground NYC Illuminati. New Hat is just a taste -- some Gobby from the past, some unexplored territory, combined with a lot of dance floor re-imagining.
