With a career spanning over 40 years, seven Grammy nominations and an overwhelming discography and filmography of top albums and acclaimed Hollywood scores, “The Pioneers of Modern Sound,” have been preparing to pack their bags and rock the world with their new Electric Mandarine Summer 2012 tour.

Tangerine Dream began as a surreal rock band that has released over one hundred albums over the years. At a time when electronic instruments were widely misjudged and virtually non-existent, Tangerine Dream were one of the forerunners of a range of new sounds, effects, and production techniques. From Edgar Froese's inimitable guitar style and sample-based sound collages, Linda Spa’s melodic wind instruments and Bernhard Beibl’s amazing guitar work, the whole band has an incomparable sound, each of the member of the group has contributed to a unique technique that has pushed the boundaries of music. Edgar Froese, the founder of TD and only remaining constant, has been responsible for some of the most important and innovative records and concepts of the last century.
