New Orleans sludgemeisters DOWN have announced a handful of UK shows this October

It’s been a while since DOWN have released any new material, the last being Down III: Over The Under in 2007, but plans are afoot for a staggered series of four new EPs, all showcasing different musical sides to the band. Stay tuned for more details soon.

2011 also saw a line up change for the band, with frontman Phil Anselmo’s Pantera cohort, Rex Brown stepping down from bass duties and former Crowbar man, Pat Bruders taking over. Drummer Jimmy Bower states, “He brought a new life into the band, and a new style on bass, and it’s fuckin’ killer, man! It made total sense to get Pat.”

Dates line up as follows.
  • Fri 19th October – MANCHESTER Academy
  • Sat 20th October – BIRMINGHAM Institute
  • Sun 21st October – LONDON Roundhouse
