Garlands has always been about flamboyance of all varieties, but there has been one room which has had its own undeniable personality. Bedlam is where the freaks come out. It is the dungeon of rave that only the hardcore need apply for! Upstairs you get raucous vocal anthems and decadent debauchery, but downstairs is all about fist pumping euphoria and underground stompers. On Saturday 30th June this room turns Six.
Although Bedlam’s reputation has been built on the resident dream team of Anthony Chan and the mysterious Mr X, a special occasion always calls for outside assistance, and in this instance it comes in the shape of Italian firebrands Nari and Milani. Their fist pumping electro and euphoria inducing house music has been a big deal with the likes of the Swedish House Mafia, Benny Benassi, David Guetta and Tiesto, with one third of the Swedes Steve Angello signing their track ‘Atom’ to his Size Records imprint. Tough as you like, their sound is tailor made to blow the roof off Bedlam.
We’re being told as well that “the venue will be styled to within an inch of its life to look like a futuristic fun house, a modern day freak show and circus of horrors”.
