With their latest album Civilian released to widespread applause last year & their biggest London headline show to date selling out in the blink of an eye, Baltimore duo Wye Oak have unveiled a new track and confirmed plans to return to the UK this winter.
After supporting The National in Europe late last year, Wye Oak have been invited to play multiple shows at December’s The National curated ATP and will also be headlining London’s Scala on December 11th.
US entertainment site Adult Swim premiered a new, darker & more electronic track over the weekend as part of their summer long singles program.
In the time since their last venture to the UK, Wye Oak have been keeping busy with singer Jenn Wasner taking on her own solo project Flock of Dimes as well as making guest appearances on records by Sharon Von Etten & Future Islands. Two tracks from Civilian have also been used as samples on rapper ¥oung L’s album Enigma Theory and Wye Oak are soon to embark on a US tour with Dirty Projectors.
