As Elephants Are were formed in 2011 after Ben (vocals/guitar) and Harry (bass) had to collaborate on the writing and recording of music for their college music course. Realising that there was no one else like-minded on the course they recruited an old school friend each in Joe (guitar) and Rob (drums) to complete the recording line up. All four had been music obsessives from a young age but this was the first time they had ever played music with other people who felt the same way. Things gelled immediately...
The band have been bunkered down in their local Studio 91 on the old Greenham Common Airbase near Newbury recording tracks for their debut album and 'War Cry' was one of the first tracks to come out of these sessions.

As Elephants Are have already played Beach Break Live festival this summer alongside the likes of Friendly Fires, The Maccabees and Dry The River, and are also on the lineup for Southsea Fest on 15th September.
