Trent Reznor is contributing the theme music to the upcoming blockbuster game Call of Duty: Black Ops II, continuing the Nine Inch Nails legend's foray into soundtracking that most notably led to the melancholic score for David Fincher's remake, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
The Call Of Duty series is well known for presenting a cinematic experience to its players and this latest announcement will surely blur the lines between mediums even more. Were this a game that needed a microgram of extra publicity and not an unstoppable behemoth, the addition of Reznor would have been quite the coup. As it is, it's comforting to know that the act of getting shot in the face by a foul mouthed 13 year old the other side of Europe will, this year at least, be soundtracked by T Rez.
