Ten years after first forming the band and a decade's worth of lineup changes, label changes and life changes later, the original line-up of Number One Gun have announced their plan on reuniting for a new album. The band is funding the recording of their fifth studio full-length, titled This Is All we Know, entirely through crowd-funding website Kickstarter (check it out here) by offering fans who pledge funding to the project everything from advance copies of the record, to signed merchandise to the chance to have their name written into a song.

This original line-up of Number One Gun was featured on only two recordings, 2002's self-released Forever EP and 2003's Floodgate Records debut Celebrate Mistakes. The band went on to release three more records on Tooth & Nail Records, the latter two of which were solo efforts by frontman/producer Jeff Schneeweis. However, after a reunion show two years ago, the seed was planted for a more proper reunion to someday come. The album will recall the uptempo, guitar-driven sound of the band's early efforts, while also showcasing the band's, and band members', collective maturity as musicians.

The band is hoping to use the Kickstarter funding not just for recording, but to get back on the road as well. The band will also be documenting the entire writing and recording process on a DVD that will release in conjunction with This Is All We Know, which is tentatively set for release via Tooth & Nail Records later this year. As an added incentive to fans who back the album via Kickstarter, Number One Gun will release a brand new song exclusively to backers at the halfway point of the Kickstarter campaign.
