Dan Rutstrom is the singular mind behind Arcadia Gardens, a pshycadelic-pop solo-project that has yielded two albums including Memory Machines, released in May of this year.
Arcadia Gardens is the dream-pop/surf/psychedelic-pop solo project of Murfreesboro, Tennessee’s Daniel Rutstrom. After experimenting around for a couple of years, Rutstrom finally emerged under the name Arcadia Gardens and released his first album in the summer of 2011 (Empty Dreams). A follow-up album, Memory Machines, was released in May of 2012. The sound is a blend of reverb-soaked guitar twangs, lush and watery synths, and dreamy airy vocals. At times the music is hushed and subtle; sometimes, more pop oriented. Simply put, Arcadia Gardens is the type of music meant to drift away to.
