Looks like it’s going to be another sell-out even tho we're bigger and brighter than ever before. Make sure the people you really want to be there are. Buy me quick. And so you don’t miss out on the Games, visit our very own Olympic Fields onsite, with events you can sign up for throughout the day, including volleyball, long jump, the 100m sprint, tug of war (and many more). After each tournament, there will be a prize-giving ceremony where the medallist will get what every athlete needs – a well-earned bar tab!
Maybe we’ll even get some of the bands to present the awards…
So what's the vibe with the bands? Well, gutted but Dinosaur Pile-up and Huey Morgan have had to pull out; they will however be replaced by the consistently awesome returning YNF heroes King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys!
Apart from that, The Subways say, "We had such an amazing time when we played at Y Not Festival previously and it's an honour to be playing again. What we loved about it last time was the awesome audience; everyone was up for having a party with us! We have a few new surprises in our set and can't wait to see you guys again!"
Watch The Subways - With You here:
Reverend & the Makers are expecting "A banging party full of proper tunes. No cheating or nikki Minaj esque miming like. Real deal."
And Rolo Tomassi tell us that "We'll be playing a mixture of old material and then also playing some tracks from our forthcoming third album. It'll be energetic and enjoyable. third album. It'll be energetic and enjoyable. Hopefully. We'll be watching out for our excellent friends in Brontide for sure!"
As we speak, the site is getting built up around us – watch our progress on Y Not Festival facebook or Y Not Festival Twitter, or drop by with tea and doughnuts!
Rain? – Ha, what rain? The jet stream is on the move! Right now the forecast is good, but if not, we laugh in the face of rain, wellies ‘n all! Hold your nerve! We'll send a checklist of all you need next week.
Don’t forget: you can join us for early Thursday entry if you’re lucky enough to get off work – but you must have the right ticket.
