Big stars in paradise: Mando Diao, Melanie Fiona, Bligg feat. Youngblood Brass Band, Zuri West, Keziah Jones, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Bastian Baker and many more - Das Festival kicks off the 8th of August in the middle of the old town of Schaffhausen in a particularly beautiful and exclusive area.

Das Festival is an indispensable part of the Schaffhausen event calendar, itradiates far beyond the region and attracts music fans from all over Switzerland. The unique scenery of the Herrenacker - one of the finest and largest town squares in Switzerland - and the high quality of the acts promise a special treat.

The first day already presents Min King - the band around fresh sound and vocal wonder Philipp Albrecht brings the first real German Soul in Schaffhausen on the big stage. Then follows the appearance of Rodrigo Y Gabriela and C.U.B.A. Rodrigo Y Gabriela are probably the fastest, most accurate and best guitar players in the world. On "Das festival" they are also bringing along the Cuban band C.U.B.A and the brand new single album "Area 52" with it. As a grand finale of the first festival day for "Das festival" a long-cherished wish come true - Züri West brings songs from their new album "Gothenburg" with them and also many songs that have been with us for a long time.

Another Schaffhauser band opens the second night: The little big Lo Fat Orchestra quote to be "One of the three best live bands in Switzerland". Up next is the sleek trio from Schaffhausen, which recently released their third and probably best album "The Second Word Is Love" The bianca Story. The main act will be the rock band Mando Diao after an extensive and highly successful tour playing unplugged these Swedish rockers will be doing the only concert in Switzerland of 2012 at the festival

She won in February this year, her second Grammy, she is talented, attractive and successful: Melanie Fiona. A native of the Caribbean, R & B singer mixes pop, R & B, hip hop and reggae to modern soul, providing us with songs like "Monday Morning", "It Kills Me" and "Give It To Me Right". Before her we'll have Keziah Jones with his thrilling show. He blends funk, rock and blues, inventing a new kind of percussion-heavy music. The night will be opened by Bastian Baker right after the release of his debut album, which earned him the title of emerging superstar.

Saturday is dedicated to the "Family Festival" at noon and then the Swiss rapper Knackeboul will open the day with fat rhymes at full speed, intoxicating beats, message, humor and striking puns. On next are the Bernese rock band Pablopolar. And the conclusion of "Das Festival" will be in the hands of Bligg, together with the excellent Youngblood Brass Band from Wisconsin (USA) is a rousing show with trumpets and drums!!
