Due for release on July 23rd through the Young & Lost Club label, ‘Emily’ is taken from the London 5-piece’s debut album Moth.
Recorded during their album sessions at Rockfield Studios in Wales with Demian Castellanos and Jimmy Robertson (Florence and The Machine, Big Pink), ‘Emily’ continues with exlovers beautiful boy-girl harmonies - layered over wistful, driving and determined lo-fi aesthetic guitars, which help to create their 90s nostalgic indie-pop reminiscent of The Cure, The Dandy Warhols and Teenage Fanclub.
Starting with driving guitar melodies that have an instant appeal as laid-back, boy-girl pop melodies and harmonies from Pete and Laurel are draped across, ‘Emily’ is a track full of pop hooks and a refined pop sensibility - that looks set to reinforce and establish exlovers as a force within the recent shoegaze/lo-fi revival.
‘Emily’ is due for release on 23rd July.
