The Gaslight Anthem have already performed at several major festival this Summer including opening for Bon Jovi at Bamboozle in East Rutherford, NJ (May 20th); appearing at the Metallica Orion Festival in Atlantic City, NJ (June 23rd - Lars Ulrich announced them on stage)) and Lollapalooza (for the second time) at Grant Park in Chicago (August 5th). Recent European dates included shows with Soundgarden in Paris, Berlin and Milan and several major festivals. The band will also return to the UK later this summer to appear on the main stage at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals.

The Gaslight Anthem have also announced their new fan club - The 45 PRM Club. The membership (at the low price of $25 per year) will allow members to purchase any 45 Fan Club pre sale tickets for shows as well as various awesome bits of merchandise and vinyl only available through the club. The band said:
“We decided to create a place where our fans could talk to other fans, share live recordings, photos, and their thoughts. We also wanted to make a place where we could give something extra back to the people who've supported us through the years, help cut down on scalpers, and make sure real fans get the tickets they want. It's also a place to get some cool extras every year from us just to say thanks for being there with us through the ride.”
In other exciting news, on June 28th The Gaslight Anthem appeared (for the third time!) on CBS’s The Late Show with David Letterman! The band followed up their rousing performance of “45” with a full length show at The Ed Sullivan Theatre. Watch it here. The band will also perform on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (for the second time) on July 27th ( no relation to Brian Fallon!).

Handwritten - The Gaslight Anthem’s first album on Mercury Records, was produced by two-time Grammy Award®-winner Brendan O’Brien, known for his work with Bruce Springsteen (Best Rock Album Grammy, 2002), Pearl Jam, Incubus and many others. The result is the most committed, affecting and compelling album of The Gaslight Anthem's career to date. Introduced by muscular lead-off single '45', which received it's world premiere on BBC Radio 1 as Zane Lowe's Hottest Record In The World on April 30 (and is now on B-List rotation on the station), it finds the Jersey boys in inspired form, decanting '60's soul, '70's stadium rock, '80s hardcore and '90's grunge into eleven white-knuckle, blue-collar everyman anthems. Brian Fallon likens its incandescent electrical storms to "Tom Petty songs [being] played by Pearl Jam". Put more simply, it's a supercharged American rock 'n' roll classic.

The full track listing for Handwritten is as follows:
  1. 1. 45
  2. 2. Handwritten
  3. 3. Here Comes My Man
  4. 4. Mulholland Drive
  5. 5. Keepsake

  7. 7. Howl
  8. 8. Biloxi Parish

Prior to 'Handwritten', The Gaslight Anthem Brian Fallon (lead vocals, guitar), Alex Rosamilia (guitar, vocals), Alex Levine (bass, vocals), and Benny Horowitz (drums, percussion) – released three full-length indie albums: Sink Or Swim (2007, XOXO Records), The ’59 Sound (2008, SideOneDummy Records), and American Slang (June 2010, SideOneDummy).
