In the plight of the summer heat Sundress have released two brand new 7”, 'California Dames' and 'Pilot Wings' on White Iris.

'California Dames' was written, romantically, before the band had actually ever been to California. “We’re small town kids,” McAdams says, “being in a band is really the only way we’ll be able to travel.” The song does, in fact, sound like a small town boy’s idea of California, all echoing floor toms and fuzzy hazy beach day guitars. It’s a song about being wanted and wanting, of a promise of something more. 'Pilot Wings,' draws inspiration from a video game (sharing the same name, for Nintendo 64), and making it about nostalgia and returning to feelings of childhood.
