Introducing A*Star, the new project from Perry Pelonero and Kim Welsh, the music duo/couple who have worked together previously in various incarnations. Perry enjoyed success with his Boston shoegaze band Skylight in the early 1990’s, which he and guitarist Brent Martino brought back in 2007, with added Kim on vocals.
In 2008, Perry and Kim formed the band Bliss.City.East, with Eric D’Asto joining the lineup soonafter. In 2010, Perry and Kim partnered with Dean Garcia (of Curve) and released an EP as Morpheme (Perry also writes and plays guitar for Garcia’s SPC ECO project). They have provided guest production and music tracks for bands across the globe, as well as owning an instructional video production company in Chicago, where they live with their family. Getting great initial responses, the duo are now busy writing a full album's worth of A*Star (named after their daughter Ada), material.
