Protobaby released 'Only A Spark'

2012 is turning out to be the finest year yet in the short life of Protobaby

March saw the release of their debut album The Spark. Protobaby teamed up with Owen Lewis who has previously worked with REM, Hole and Snow Patrol just to mention a few to record their full length debut, with the end result receiving a massive thumbs up from critics and fans alike. The 3 singles/videos released from the album to date: 'State Of Affairs', ‘Traditions’ and ‘Fluorescent’ have gained extensive airplay on both national and regional radio.

'State Of Affairs' video has received nearly 10,000 youtube views and counting, the video to 'Traditions' was banned by Youtube and 'Fluorescent' was named as Today FM’s daily download on Tony Fenton’s show along with the band also recording a session for the Paul Mcloone show on Today FM.

May saw Protobaby make a successful return as co-headliners to the huge Polish Rock Festival ‘Juwenalia Bialystok 2012’ where the band performed to over 10,000 people. Footage from this show, shot by a 6 man camera crew will feature in the official video to ‘Only A Spark’.

The band is set to return for a tour of Poland in the autumn and will be in the UK in late August.

Protobaby release their 4th single ‘Only a Spark’ on Itunes and Bandcamp on the 27th of July taken from the album ‘The Spark’ which is also currently available on Itunes and Bandcamp.
