Out now on the renowned Young & Lost Club label, ‘Tomorrow’ the third single from London C86-inspired lo-fi indie rockers Being There’s debut album Breaking Away - a nostalgic paean to long summer nights and lost sweethearts.
Marking one of Breaking Away’s most cacophonously uplifting highs, ‘Tomorrow’ throws out the sort of guitar thrashing that would leave Dinosaur Jr’s J Mascis with blistered fingers. Juxtaposing the track’s brash musical nature – lyrically – it tells the tale of a boy and girl going back to their childhood rooms and listening to all the old tapes they were once defined by – all the while falling in love and thinking about what the future may hold for them.
Having been named one of NME’s 100 new bands for 2012, it seems the only direction is up for Being There.
