Forming in the winter of 2011 in Bristol, GuMM consists of Arthur Brown (guitar, vocals) and brother and sister, Jordan Cook (drums, percussion) & Lily Cook (bass, vocals) – with the Bristolian three-piece now gearing up to release their debut single 'Lionheart' on 10th September through Bristol based label Howling Owl Records (Towns, Spectres).

After rehearsing and keeping themselves a secret for several months, GuMM launched themselves at their first live show earlier in the year, with fellow Bristol based and lo-fi band TOWNS, since then the group have played for Vice Magazine and play alongside the likes of up and coming bands, Splashh and Wooden Shjips.

Citing bands such as Echo & The Bunneymen, White Stripes, My Bloody Valentine and Brian Jonestown Massacre as influences, GuMM produce drones of psychedelia with a garage enthused, scuzzy, lo-fi rock approach that packs a more than noticeable punch; a punch that is seen within the opening riffs and crescendos of debut single 'Lionheart', where as b-side Windswept swirls in a world psychedelia, shoegaze and reverb.

Recorded at Portishead’s Jim Barr owned J&J studios with producer TJ Allen (Roxy Music, Jonsi, Adrian Utley, Portishead & Malachai) 'Lionheart' along with b-side 'Windswept' will be released through Howling Owl Records on 10th September.
