Northern California metal act Defiler have teamed with PledgeMusic to raise funds for a new tour van. The band’s old van was destroyed during their last tour, leaving the band stranded and forced to cancel shows on their short headlining run. Defiler is hoping to raise enough money to get them back on the road this fall in support of their upcoming studio album. Pledges range from a $5 digital only EP to $1,000 for a house party thrown by Defiler. Full details and pledges can be found here.
A portion of all funds raised will go to MusiCares, established by The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences in 1989 as a place for musicians to turn to in times of financial, personal, or medical crisis, primarily focusing the resources and attention of the music industry on human service issues which directly impact the health and welfare of the music community.
