Rising UK hip-hop label Sinoptic have just released their latest WY Cypher video on Youtube entitled WY Cypher Season 1 Episode 1.
WY stands for West Yorkshire, the place where the majority of the rappers featured in the 25 minute long video hail from. It's cut together from a bunch of weekly cypher sessions where the region's top emcees get together and rap over beats. There is only 1 rule: It's 100% freestyle - no pre-written material.
Although over the last few months the collective have been releasing sporadic WY Cypher's on Youtube, the latest video is the first of a 10 part fortnightly series which will see not only West Yorkshire rappers but also international spitters showcase their ability to spit rhymes 'off the top'.
Featured in this episode are members of Flame Griller (featuring JND, Addverse and Sinoptic founder ExP) who's debut self titled album has recently dropped, battle-fan favourite Lunar C, Huddersfield stalwart Jack Flash and more. There is also an interview with Leeds crew Defenders of Style.
