Kidcity are a two-piece electronic band made up of husband and wife, Kelly and Caleb Ellis from Los Angeles and Toronto. Following the release of their self-titled EP in 2011 the duo are back with their sophomore 'MRDR BRDNS'.
Their music is a form of electro-pop made up of dark electronics and sullen atmospheres. It thumps, shivers and shakes but underneath all the cacophony lays an angelic voice. The duo coined their sound as “clip-hop” due to focusing their efforts on the darker side of electronic music.
Kelly and Caleb have always intended for their music to be concussive but they didn’t realize there was going to be such a contrast between the instrumentation and the vocals until they started recording, which has come to define their truly unique sound. Since releasing their debut EP in May of 2011, featuring the single 'Bloody Face'. They’ve written songs for various mixtapes and compilations and were featured in NME's Radar Scene in July of 2012.

MRDR BRDNS draws on heavier and darker themes – not for the weak of heart. Kidcity are also working on a project called Miserable Singers with Canadian poet Victor Coleman, which they will reveal in 2013. MRDR BRNDS is a free EP download.
