Spread the Social Love:
Lancaster born and bred teenagers George Townsend and Adam Kaye AKA Bondax have been working hard in the Red Bull Studios, London Bridge, on their new album (watch this space for more on that soon, little bit excited personally!). And whilst there filmed a new episode of Introducing and put together a very tasty summer mix, a hint of what's to come at their Carnival set for sure....wish I was going now!
Let's remind ourselves that George and Adam are teenagers....teenagers...and the tunes they're pulling out the record bag (I like to think they're record baggers and not MP3-ers) and mixing together so seamlessly are so before their time and have such an old school vibe to them it's incredible, especially when you also remind yourself that they're from Lancaster....not an area famed for it's house vibes! With classics like 'Someday' by CeCe Rogers and 'Just Get's Better' by T.J.R feat Xavier, this mix really has had me dancing in my office all morning! Starting off with some chilled vibes it builds up and up and then smacks you in the face....what more do you want from a mix than this?!
You can tell straight away from this mix that Bondax are special, and that their time in London has had a massive impact on them. This mix is house, when house was just house, no silly sub-genres, no wannabee's, just pure unadulterated house....it certainly has taken me back a decade or two....and re-ignited my love for house...
And let's not overlook their own imminent release 'Baby I Got That / It's You' due 16th September on Just Us / Relentless, what a corker, these boys really can craft a tune as well as they can mix a bag of goodies too!
